AFO Counters - polypropylene reinforced heel counters with AFO trim lines
American Soles - 8 iron finishing sole layer that is oil resistant, non-skid, wear resistant
Amputation Filler (molded) - one piece Plastazote amputation fillers molded to amputation site
Amputation Filler (non-molded) - non molded Plastazote block filler
Base Depression - relief in the cork base of a custom molded shoe
Boot Leather - thicker heavier weight leather for longer wear
Custom Made Construction - board lasted construction, balanced on inserts, hand stitched custom uppers also known as “Wedge Construction”
Custom Molded Construction - traditional molded cork base, balanced on the base, one piece upper also known as “Regular Construction”
Heavy Weight Soling - 18 iron or higher finishing sole layer
Lug Sole - traditional heavy tread work boot type sole
RUVA Sole - high wear resistant soling material
Thermoplastic Safety Toe - custom molded 4mm polyethylene toe box (not ANSI or OSHA approved)
Unit Sole - EVA sole with a contoured heel shaved into it
Wedge Sole - flat EVA sole with 3/4” heel wedge
Welt - cosmetic welt, glued between the upper and sole
